vTiger customization updates: two-dimensional price lookup

In business, when introducing a new product, determining the price often comes out as a perplexing process.

It is especially applicable when you are a reseller of assembled products where every instance changes from another one.

In highly saturated market that is full of competitors, you – –

–         want to lose customers by overpricing

–         can afford to keep margin too low.

To overcome related hindrances, CRMTiger team introduces a new functionality in vTiger CRM – ‘Product Price Calculator’

For instance, in it, you can add parameters like

• Height
• Width
• Price for certain quantity  of a product etc.

and product price calculator will automatically calculate the amount for same product but which is of different height- width  and quantity.

Step 1 : Product configuration :

We need to input few things related to it, like margin we want to keep, currency, material of product etc.

For the first time, we need to input fields related to two dimensional price management.

Like

•   Height vs width
•   Weight vs Length

Following two screenshots shows this

Step 2 :

Enter quantity and price for specimen instance of product so that system can rely on these figures for onward calculations.

In above screenshot, name of product “Height Width” is written for example purposes only.

Step 3 :

Product price calculator now automatically calculates desired and adjusted price of specific product that your business provides.

You only need to input product characteristics related parameters and system will take care of margin amount.

Although currently it reflects a rudimentary level tool, our programmers are working at R&D level to avail our CRM customers a full-fledged and downloadable calculator from within CRM.
