Meta would like to share important updates to WhatsApp Business Platform pricing and billing that will take effect starting January 1, 2026. These changes are designed to help businesses better manage messaging costs, especially in markets experiencing currency fluctuations, while ensuring WhatsApp remains a strong, valuable communication channel.
What’s Changing in 2026
Beginning January 1, 2026, Meta may adjust rates up to once per quarter, in line with the pricing calendar. Below is an overview of the updates across specific markets.
1. Utility & Authentication Messages
- Rates will be updated in one market.

2. Marketing Messages
Marketing message rates will change in three markets:
- India: Increase

- Egypt: Decrease
Meta is continuing to enhance marketing message performance. Updates such as text truncation and tappable preview headers have increased average click-through rates by 14%.
